So how does it work?
Forgiveness is a process. In this world of microwaves and quick fixes, we don't usually enjoy working through things that take any longer than a few moments. However this is a 8 week therapy during which we will walk with the client through the process of understanding the importance for letting go.
Our goal is not only to help our clients walk into the freedom of forgiveness, but also to teach them the skills of forgiveness as a lifestyle and thereby avoiding all future possible negative effects of holding a grudge.
Our goal is not only to help our clients walk into the freedom of forgiveness, but also to teach them the skills of forgiveness as a lifestyle and thereby avoiding all future possible negative effects of holding a grudge.
In Forgiveness Therapy our practitioners will take you through a four-step process:
1. Express the pain - Before you are able to move forward, you will need to be heard, your pain expressed and the injustice acknowledged. Our practitioners will help you walk through this process at your own pace. 2. Decision - In order to proceed, you will need to be prepared to let go. To do this we will help you look at how your anger/bitterness has impacted your life. How this choice has brought limitations to who you are and how you function. We will help you see things from a different perspective and if possible find the positives from the situation. 3. Secure your life - Our practitioners will help you look at ways to keep you safe and to avoid a recurrence of the given situation. 4. Let go and move on - Using tools we have developed to help you let go, you will also remove mindsets of limitation you have subscribed to and you will open a pathway for new opportunities, and experience a new felt freedom. |
Forgiveness doesn't excuse their behaviour - it sets you free. |
